COMBUSTION WIRE COATINGS

PROCESS DESCRIPTION:

Fusion’s industrial coatings for protective and precision metal processes include the combustion wire process which draws a metal alloy wire through the combustion spray gun. At the gun nozzle, fuel gas of acetylene is mixed with oxygen in precise proportions and ignited to create a flame. The metal wire is fed through the flame, melted and atomized by the compressed air, and the molten droplets are propelled towards the substrate to form the coating.

FEATURES OF THE TWIN ARC PROCESS

Our industrial coatings with protective and precision metal processing applies a range of metallic alloys and pure metals for restoration, corrosion coatings and other purposes.

  • No heat affected zone or component distortion.
  • Coatings can be ground or machined to final dimensions and finish
  • Masking protection of areas not to be coated.
  • Coating some of the internal bores is possible.
